How should I price my timeshare rental or resale?

Supply and demand is a major factor in pricing your timeshare rental or timeshare resale. Look up your resort's page on our site and see what other owners are charging. Keep in mind unit size and popular dates when comparing prices. If there are several ads for your resort consider pricing yours lower to help attract attention. When there are few units available at your resort, start with a higher price and make a note in the Details section “open to reasonable offers.” Include in the Details section any special events during the listed week, i.e. festivals, holidays, school breaks. Sign up to be alerted when new ads are listed on your resort's page. Keep an eye on the competition; you can always adjust your price.

Can I rent out a RCI or II exchange week?

No, these companies don’t allow members to rent out exchange weeks.

What if I own points or vacation club time?

There are a couple of options for posting your offer. (Check your ownership contract for any rental or sells restrictions.)

For rental ads:

• Reserve the most popular resort/week combination and advertise that week.
• Post several rental ads for the resorts you can reserve, making sure to take down all the ads when you find a renter.

For resale ads:

• Post multiple resale ads listed under the resorts available with your ownership, making sure to take down all the ads when you find a buyer.

How do I finalize the transaction?

Negotiate the details directly with your renter or buyer to complete the transaction.
